The index is assuming that William was the son of Mary Janeway, however, as the household schedule was different, the relation to head son, probably means the head of the household was not present at the time of the census - this would make sense as I have found John, and possibly wife Ann, on the census in the Royston Union Workhouse. Further research also indicates that daughter Elizabeth Scott was the daughter of Ann, not William (which would explain why she was born in the workhouse).
This is probably the burial entry for William
